Frequently asked questions

Can you swim in Lake Caldonazzo?

Yes — it is the largest swimming lake in Trentino. In summer the water reaches around 24°C and its quality has earned the Blue Flag. There are both free and equipped beaches all along the shore.

How do I get there without a car?

Take the Valsugana railway: from Trento you reach Calceranica al Lago or Caldonazzo in about 30 to 45 minutes. Both stations are a few minutes' walk from the lake.

Is it good for families with children?

Very much so: shallow water near the shore, grassy beaches, the Valsugana cycle path and pedalo hire. Many of our apartments have outdoor space and are within walking distance of the lake.

When is the best time to visit?

June to September for the lake; spring and autumn for cycling and hiking with fewer crowds. In winter the area is a convenient base for the Panarotta ski slopes and the Christmas markets in Trento and Levico.

Can I book directly?

Yes — you book directly on Italy Holiday, with secure payment and WhatsApp support throughout your stay.
